SOCIETY'S COMMITTEE

We have recently revitalized the Teachers Group, conducting workshops in earth science teaching in support of the school curriculum reform, established a Nature Explorers group for the young members, and instigated a new Family Membership, all as part of our endeavor to reach out to the general public. We are progressing to organize a professional branch to oversee the welfare of our members in the professional sector. Liaising closely with geological learned societies in China, Taiwan and the nearby regions, the Geological Society has now become a leader in the organization of geological activities in the region. We believe the Geological Society of Hong Kong has entered a new era. Our continuing missions: to promote geological education to students, teachers and the general public, as well as to provide with professional geologists opportunities for enhancement of geological knowledge – the General Committee of GSHK is committed to work hard to accomplish our missions.
